National and inclusive
Participation is not defined by geography within Sweden, institutional size or role in a former project.
About
Neuromorphic Sweden is intended to make national capabilities more visible and connected across universities, institutes, companies, startups and public actors.
Purpose
The field extends from foundational materials to deployed intelligent systems. Its progress depends on collaboration across disciplinary, organizational and sector boundaries.
This site provides a neutral place to explain the technology, show the breadth of activity in Sweden, document shared priorities and make collaboration easier. It does not represent one university, company or institute.
Neuromorphic Sweden is rooted in open ecosystem work initiated through the completed NIPS and NEUTEC projects, which were funded by Vinnova. The continuing ecosystem is broader than either project.
Principles
A neutral national platform must make participation, evidence and institutional roles clear.
Participation is not defined by geography within Sweden, institutional size or role in a former project.
Demonstrated findings, strategic ambitions and future opportunities are described separately.
Materials, circuits, algorithms, systems, neuroscience and societal perspectives all belong in the conversation.
The ecosystem should help independent and sometimes competing actors find shared tools, questions and opportunities.
